I’m Jishnu, a multimedia reporter who wants to tell uncommon stories. Originally from New Jersey, I went to Syracuse University’s Newhouse School, studying journalism and graduating in 2020. I’m currently living in Houston, Texas, and learning a lot about the South.

I’m interested in telling stories about politics and the systems of government that run our nation, new technologies and how existing ones impact societies. I believe that by telling stories based in these spheres of society, I can educate people, helping them make better choices both as citizens and in their private lives.

I’m also interested in writing about climate, the environment, and environmental justice. In my experience, issues relating to those topics are heavily linked with the issues of politics and government as mentioned above as well as to stories about race, gender, economy — really every facet of our lives. One of my dream pet projects is to write about wildlife as well.

When I’m not writing, you can usually find me watching, playing, or talking about soccer (my team is Arsenal F.C.), trying new food places (currently looking for creative fusions), or reading.
